As a teacher of music for more than 15 years I would love to hear from you about your personnel goals and interests. I will work with you on them. The most important thing is that we love music and we adore the harp. We would love to learn more, to play it even better. We have to remember that this love is the light that will guide us through our progress and toward our musical targets. There is no obligation for you to continue with lessons after your evaluation lesson.

You will decide if I am the right person who can help you with your goals.

The cost of the evaluation lesson is 95 Euros. It’s 60 minutes long. It includes the registration fee, the preparation time to personalize the lesson as well as the lesson.

How the online lessons work?

I use the application Zoom for my online lessons and sessions.
When you book a lesson, the confirmation email will have a link to your Zoom lesson.

You can connect to Zoom either via a browser on your computer, or via the Zoom app on your phone or tablet

If you are not sure how to set it up I will provide support to help you with.

What do you expect?

In our first lesson we will start to know each other

You will describe me why do you want to take harp lessons and what you hope to learn with me.

I will explain you how the lessons look like for me and my way of teaching.

I would love a little warm up but don’t worry, it will be always in a jazz harp style,

I may propose you some jazz exercises about it.

You will play a piece or the jazz standard that you prepared for the lesson.

I’ll give you feedback about what I think we could work on together. I love the interactivity so, I would love to have your questions also during the lesson.

Requirements

• Internet
• Computer with webcam
• Audio/Visual recording device (ex. iPhone, iPad, video camera, external microphone)
• Quiet, well-lit learning environment conducive to listening, learning, practicing and performing
• Harp, bench, music stand, metronome, tuning equipment and extra strings
• Notebook and pencils
• Set up your device so that you can stand comfortably without looking up or down at the screen.

Prepare a piece, a song or jazz standard

Feel free to choose a piece. Please prepare you to play it for me.

A piece that you love to play is an excellent choice.

You may play it by heart or with scores. I would love to hear you playing.

How Much Does it Cost?

• Evaluation lessons require more preparation and admin than a regular lesson, and also include my non-refundable registration fee. The costs are:

Children and Teens: 45 minutes – 75€

Adults: 60 minutes – 95€
You will need to pay for your lesson in advance to confirm your booking.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Currently I can only accept payment via online bank transfer. If you are outside of France, I recommend using Paypal.

Payment by online bank transfer should be made before the lesson – please send me a screenshot to confirm you’ve made the payment! I will send you my bank account with your booking confirmation

Cancellations/Rescheduling

Refunds for cancellations made more than 48 hours before you lesson will be provided on a case-by-case basis.

Cancellations less than 48 hours before your lesson will not be refunded.

Missed lessons will also not be refunded.

I do not charge for rescheduling, but if you need to reschedule I do appreciate 48 hours notice

What happens after my first lesson?

If we both decide to go ahead with lessons together, I will send you my studio learning agreement to read and complete. You won’t need to pay my registration fee, as it was included in your evaluation lesson fee.

We will choose a permanent lesson time that suits both of us.

We can start weekly lessons as soon as possible!
