CD Album – « Sort »- Milevska Trio

Colorful artistic image "MILEVSKA TRIO" with splashes.

TRI, It's the story of a musical encounter. A fusion of three voices, three sensibilities, three worlds.

With this acoustic trio, I explore another side of the harp: free, rhythmic, vibrant. She improvises, sings, dialogues with double bass and battery. She leaves her classical setting to enter a living jazz universe, between tradition and modernity.

All three of us play, sing, invent together. TRI is a human and sound adventure, a balance between writing and improvisation, between the rigour of jazz and the freedom of the moment.

There are Balkan influences, Eastern European rhythms, classical touches, groove and a lot of emotion. Personal compositions, re-visited pieces like Oblivion de Piazzolla or O Morro Não Tem Vez de Jobim... and always this desire to go further. Each piece is an exploration.

A breath, a musical conversation where the jazz harp becomes the heart of an original and daring trio.

An acoustic album, intimate and open, combining rhythmic power, sound poetry and stage complicity.

CD Album – « As I Am » – Rossitza Milevska

Rossitza Milevska posing with black harp

"As I Am" is Rossitza Milevska's first album. A project that revealed to the public an unusual harpist, with a singular approach to jazz. During the jazz springboard in Hyères in May 2013, Rossitza created the surprise: « We never heard a harp play jazz that way. She also received the soloist's prize and the public prize. She gave herself a rather sensational piano phrase, or guitar, while keeping the specifics of the harp. »

(Jazz Hot / Serge Baudot)

Surrounded by Frédérick Lacroix on double bass and Cédric Le Donne on drums, Rossitza Milevska offers a fluid, subtle and contrasting acoustic jazz. The trio deploys a rare musical complicity, between rhythmic precision, deep listening and freedom of improvisation.

The repertoire combines great standards (Softly As in a Morning Sunrise, Stella by Starlight), original compositions (Leaves, As I Am), classical influences (La Muerte del Ángel, Libertango), and a nod to its Bulgarian roots with Dilmano Dilbero, revisited in jazz.

Pianist Peggy Polito occasionally intervenes on the title Libertango, adding an extra touch to this particular arrangement. A first album both elegant and bold, laying the foundations of Rossitza Milevska's singular style in the world of harp jazz.

CD Album – « STEPS » – Rossitza Milevska

Rossitza Milevska singing with a harp

"Steps", These are the steps we take every day to move forward. Steps to balance, harmony, dreams. Steps that carry us, transform us, and bring us closer to who we are. The music is made of notes that dance with silences. And I like to dance — with the steps, and in music. Steps is the movement, the progression, the pleasure of playing and sharing this magic.

In this album, I give the harp a free, modern, unexpected space. She sings, she improvises, she groovs. She surprises you, takes you on a trip, and even makes you dream. It is an instrument with grandiose possibilities, which combines wonderfully with bass, double bass, drums, percussion and voice. A jazz harp, a pop harp, a harp today — bright and bold.

I love jazz deeply, and I want to convey the message of a harp that emancipates, that dialogues, that dares. Together with my musician friends, we went to pick up sounds and rhythms from my native Bulgaria to revisit them, reinvent them, and make them vibrate in a unique set.

Steps is an invitation to discover a free and current harp, at the crossroads of cultures, styles and emotions. An acoustic, organic album that speaks to the heart and makes the soul dance.
